Guttural beach-break
Sharks breaching the minty waves
Skimmers sweeping swash
Littoral loafing
Cormorant airing her wings
Sodden charcoal-black
Dune scarp tunnel-pocked
Ghost crab rushes to the brine
Sudsy spume hissing
Sanderlings hurry
As a rogue wave swamps the cusp
Children disappear
Fish tale washes in
Air redolent of sunscreen
Wax melting in sun
Beautiful. Thank you for visiting and following my blog. I appreciate it.
Found you through alarmingman’s blog. Absolutely exquisite writing, looking forward to reading more!
Haha, glad you think it is beautiful. I do tend to like the wave photo, nothing more exquisite to me than that perfect moment….as it grabs me and hurles me blithely onto the shell-shard-studded shore and sends me, a briny sodden mess, tossing right into a nice octogenarian couple’s charming little beachside-picnic that was just a wee bit too close to the swash zone, oh dear. I have been mistaken for a beached whale in this manner before. Intriguing…ah life’s adventures, too fun!
Appreciate your drizzling by and imbibing.
Many jubilant cheers,
Autumn Jade
