Dull eyes, like nail-heads
Drown in sinuous streams
Dusk in November
Dappled green slug skin
Raspy leaves tangled in wind
Accordion cravings
Smell of foggy woods
Staggering in solitude
Cold heavens asperge
Wood-fire tango
Tendrils of rain punch the flames-
Broodings, vespertine

Asperge and vespertine. I’ve been schooled.

Haha yes, delectable words. I’ve adored the word “asperge” going way back into me early childhood, but “vespertine” is a newer find. So happy they have delighted you as well (assuming being “schooled” is to be tremendously and outrageously delighted, har har).
