Just a wee nature video…
No snow here in Florida at the moment, so a sluicing of rain shall have to suffice.

really…a wee nature video…well it should be…’a stunning–beautiful–brilliant– wee nature video’…or something like that…
Ooo thank you very much. I am most gruntled it was enjoyed, aye, most chuffed! Thank you for the most delightful comment. Myriads of smiling cheers,
Autumn Jade
Enjoyed the nature walk, AJ, and I didn’t even get wet! I thought I saw the beady eye of a snake peeping out a me, just for a moment. The caterpillar was really cute, and of course Mr Froggie. 🙂
Har har har, I was quite a sight, I imagine, gaining the footage, trotting and slipping about through puddles and torrents with the camera peering out of its bulky little rain-coat. That snake was particularly a challenge. He was off the path and I had to clamber down and trudge through the soggy jungle to get to him- where he bizarrely waited for me patiently, rather than “racing” off in the usual black racer fashion. Most obliging fellow. Don’t expect that sort of thing from snakes.
One time, a friend of mine decided a bit of snake-themed trickery was in order. She planted a fake rubber snake that she’d painted to look like an indigo blue in the grass at one of the local swamps we like to tool about in. She pointed it out, the nasty fiend, and of course, I went galloping toward it, whooping away, nearly tripping and taking a spill right into the mud in order to gain closer inspection, and then I stopped and mused, “What ho, what a polite and trusting snake, not to evapourate upon the first sight of me.” It STILL took me an age to realize the reality of the situation, when at last I noticed a ridiculously fake red tongue poking out that never retracted, blast. The mate was roaring with laughter behind me, practically spilling into the grass, wailing away like some sort of inebriated screech owl. There was a kindly gator that bubbled up just then, a non-rubber one, peering up at me with sympathetic tea-coloured eyes, who gave me some ideas on what to do when one is plagued with a fake-snake-planting, viciously conniving and obnoxiously convivial friend…
Ah!! I have a rather lush history with frogs and the monarch species. I once had a pet monarch that had been at the end of her life when I’d found her. Her life was extended some months. We went on several walks together. She loved to perch on me shoulder.
And so many memories of frogs….ah…
The frog in this video I found in a bathroom, of all places. Not quite the place for a frog, so I scooped him up and staggered outside with him, depositing him into the bejeweled grass. He seemed quite content with this arrangement and I just had to snag me camera. Me mum would have been most proud. She was excessively fond of frogs. Always a gallon of smiles when I brought frogs and toads home, aye, that she was, and have I really gone on this long? Good golly, I am sorry.
Thank you so much for the wonderful and most delectable comment, and for drizzling by and imbibing. Cheers!

That was luscious. Florida seems closer to nature.
Thank you very much! Yes, Florida is especially brimming with bombillating life! It makes the struggle of nature verses concrete all that more apparent to me. Thank you for drizzling by and having a glance about. Cheers,
