Thanks so much Anita. He was striking, though barely noticeable because of his minute size. I was grateful to have spotted him. He was a vigorous and curious little creature and kept kissing the lens with his little red face. He was certainly happy there in his fine swamp habitat. Thank you for the feedback and for cascading by! Smiling cheers,
Aye, I love that quote too- avidly so. How important to retain those fresh young eyes poised for beauty, all one’s life, I think. 🙂 Such as you have, Paradise. Thank you for swimming by. Swampy cheers,
Thanks so much! I was happy with the third one as well. He went back and forth in limbo there. I was relieved to get a shot. He was an adventurous little creature. He could afford to be. 😉
Greetings Coastal Crone (I avidly adore that name)!! Thank you so much for drizzling by! I had a delightful visit on your blog earlier and am looking forward to many more to come. I’m thrilled that you enjoyed your jaunt through these briny pages. Glad you agree with the quote. I couldn’t agree with it more, myself! 🙂 Smiling cheers to you,
Thank you so much dear Cybele. I have, too. But soon to be remedied. I’ve missed your blog and am looking forward to catching up. I trust all is well with you. Boggy embraces and sylvan hugs,
Thanks so much! He was a darling creature. I thought the black-and-white captured a sadness that his colours distract from. Thank you for the kind comment and for sluicing by! Joyous cheers and happy weekend,
Hi Smiling Toad!
Thank you for visiting my site MostlyBlogging on Sunday. Still Sunday here in California! I’m glad you liked my post “How to Blog and Still Live a Quality Life.” Ralph did a great job. Did you know it was his first guest post?
As far as your blog goes, you are a poet! I teach poetry during one of my 7th grade units. I’m a teacher. You have a photo for every line of your poem. Impressive!
Thanks again for the visit.
Janice
Aloha Janice. Thank you for the visit and the wonderful comment. I trust you enjoyed a majestic Sunday there in California. Do you abide near the surf? I have a strong affinity with California surf, though I have never actually experienced it. Florida has been suffering from flat-ocean-lake-syndrome, though some cheeky tropical systems keep sneezing in the Atlantic before piddling out again, making the 1-foot waves grow a giant whopping inch. What a tease. At least the companionship of the sharks helps alleviate the pain I feel when I find myself sobbing on the beach as another wave-less day washes over me.
It was a divine pleasure visiting your blog. Wonderfully-written, helpful and comprehensive articles. I found myself visiting again and suspect I shall be visiting more in the future. I hope you are not put off by smiling toads hopping about your posts.
Ralph did such a superb job! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad he chose your blog for his guest-posting-debut- what a delightful discovery for me.
Teaching poetry must be very rewarding, especially with the creativity that flows through the fervent minds of the young. Too fabulous!
Oh, thank you. I have never considered myself a poet, but will attest to being a bit of a rambler, I fear. I try to compensate by hacking up and whittling down my posts as much as possible. I think I did a fabulous job snipping away with this one (but fear I may have fallen down in the comment area). Apologies.
Anyhow, I thank you for drizzling by and leaving such kind words behind. Much appreciated. Wishing you a majestic week. Ebullient cheers,

Great pictures, especially the third, and great quote too. I really like Kafka. The quote sounds quite unusually cheerful coming from him.
Thanks so much! I was happy with the third one as well. He went back and forth in limbo there. I was relieved to get a shot. He was an adventurous little creature. He could afford to be. 😉
