the drop of water…wonderful…………………
Thank you so much! A torrent of rain was spilling from a shorn cloud just then. I scrambled up into the dunes and huddled beneath the patchy cover of sea-grapes. In the muddy darkness, and the wash of rain, I decided that it was about time to bundle my camera up for the afternoon. Then I noticed a lone drop blinking at me and I could not resist another shot. Anyhow, I am so elated that you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for drizzling by! All the best,
Autumn Jade
Lovely!
Thank you very much!
How lovely to lie in the sand take these magic photos and listen as nature talks to you. Thank you for sharing .. your beach visits are very special
Thank you so much, Julie! I feel the very same when I visit your blog, so alive and bombillating with the majestic splendor of nature, abounding in your glorious garden. And oh how I so enjoy your sea-side shots, too- I can always hear the clear and crisp crash of the waves and the chattering calls of the sea birds beyond. Thanks so much for such a lovely comment! Ebullient cheers,
Autumn Jade

Out-soggily-standing 😀
Why thank you!! Gurgling cheers and swampy embraces,
Autumn Jade
The watery felicitations always amuse me 🙂
Incredibly atmospheric. The ocean is palpable. I like your verbal side as much too 🙂
Thank you so much Paula. I am delighted that you enjoyed it. I mumble off little lines on the beach sometimes, my head down, muttering away. It does not charm the other beach-goers very much. I often am met with bulbous-eyed, askance glances quickly followed by rapid fleeing…
Thank you so much for drizzling by and leaving such kind words. All the best,
Autumn Jade
~ a master piece~ beautiful framed magical lines ~
Thank you so much dear Gill!! Your words are deeply appreciated. Thanks for oozing by dear friend. Swampy cheers,

You’re very welcome AJ. Many thanks and same to you! 😀 ♥
beautiful photos. I love that shell in the first shot. Excellent!
Thank you! Me too. I could not get enough of that shell. The ocean kept slapping at the camera, getting irritated with me, but I had to go for it. It was a beautiful evening and that shell looked magical under the strumming waters of the scurrying low tide. Thank you so much for the kind words and for dripping by. Jubilant cheers,
Autumn Jade
It’s an amazing shot. I’m glad you went for it.
Oh thank you, far too kind. Much appreciated!
Your images are beautiful
Thank you for your like
As always Sheldon

Happy Tuesday already! ☺️
Very peaceful photographs that are enhanced b your words ~ nothing quite like a conversation with the ocean and its waves.
No, nothing like it. I always learn something new every time, too. Perfect place to brood. Thanks so much for oozing by and for the very kind words. Jubilant cheers,
Autumn Jade
a really tender and lively series!
Thank you very much!!
Beautiful and captivating, Autumn Jade.
Thank you, Jane! The ocean is my haven. Glad it was enjoyed. Thanks for fluttering by and visiting for a while. All the best,
Autumn Jade
This post is absolutely beautiful! It reminds me of both my visit to see you and my recent trip to Punta Cana. There is simply nothing more than listening to the sounds that nature provide. We have a beautiful willow tree at the back of our yard. If you close your eyes on a breezy day, it sounds just like the ocean. I look forward to reading future posts! I love your photography!
Thank you! OH Punta Cana. Beautiful, indeed! Your tree sounds like heaven. I just love that sound…of the wind rushing through the lissome branches of the willow…how divine to sprawl down beside it, eyes closed, feeling the coolness of the shadows of the clouds scurry across your face. Then, how grand to feel the returning warmth of the sun as the clouds hurry on, listening to the oceanic music of the willow being tussled by the wild wind. Nothing better!
I particularly like the very first image; a sea shell covered with a thin layer of flowing water? Beautiful, elegant and ambiguous.
My favourite, too. I’ve always been enthralled with the beauty of the swash, glazing the sea-shells, just for a moment, and decided that I had to try and capture it. So glad you liked it! Thank you for the kind words and for drizzling by. Joyous cheers,
Autumn Jade
Absolutey stunning images that inspire and give me joy in looking at them again and again.
Thank you so much! One doesn’t have to work very hard when working with something as majestic as the ocean 😉 Thanks for drizzling by! All the best,
Autumn Jade
You are more than welcome
Impressive images with moving words..great post!
Thank you so much, Indah! I was certainly captivated by the moment. I am thrilled that you enjoyed it, too. Thanks for the wonderful words and for swimming by. All the best with smiling cheers,
Autumn Jade
I love your view of the sea!
Greetings, dear Dune. Oh, thank you so much. I am thrilled that you enjoyed it. Happy early spring to you!
Autumn Jade
lovely to hear from you at last! Blessings!!
Beautiful and highly personal shots and words.
Thank you, Mike!! Indeed, I probed a bit for this one 😉 Thanks so much for the wonderful comment and for oozing by. All the best with smiling cheers,
Autumn Jade
Autty, this is beautiful. I love the line about the distant rain hanging in the hammock of gauzy wind. How do you think of this stuff? I only had to look up sibilant, but it was so worth it. What a perfect word to describe the ocean. Gorgeous! 🙂 I’ve missed this. I read another blog that says we need to read poetry each day to start our writing, and we need to read it outloud. I read yours outloud to Vince. I marvel at the way you wove the words of emotion into something blissfully descriptive. 🙂
Oh, I am so glad you now know “sibilant”. It is a word I could not live without. I remember the first time I met it in a large, red-covered dictionary I was flipping through at a thrift store so many dusty years ago…love at first sight!! 😉
I try to read poetry as often as possible. I adore it. Well, of course I do…WORDS!!!!!
I am thrilled that you liked it. It popped into my head as I was rambling down the shore during a storm.
I have missed our exchanges, as well. Elated that we are both back! All the best,
Autumn Jade
I am too. BTW, I am compiling a book about blogging from a collection of my posts over the years. I am including some comments, and I wonder if it is OK if I include some of yours? 🙂
Sounds brilliant. 😀 Go ahead. Feel free. P.S. How is “Girls on Fire” coming along?? I adored your description work from some posts a little while back. Vivid and beautiful writing!! Cheers,
toad
Girls on Fire is on hold for a while longer. I got lost in the story line as I made edits. The more edits I made, the more I needed to make, and one day I decided to set it aside until I learn how to write better. Meanwhile I rewrote a book I did 35 years ago for elementary aged children. That too needs another total rewrite after I’ve done more reading. I’m not feeling too successful on any fiction project that I’ve started.
I know what you mean. Very easy to meander down various avenues of thought and get tangled up and lost in the writing. Hugs. You will get there. I see that you definitely have the talent for it. It is good to set aside a project for a time, to return to, later, as well, I’ve found.
Anyhow, I look forward to reading your book on blogging! Sounds absolutely wonderful!!
It will make a comeback. I spent the weekend with a lady at our conference who had so many disasters in her life, making mine puny troubles sound like my worst problem was getting chewing gum caught in my hair. Always great to have more action in a book than can ever happen, then somehow it has to flow. I had lost the love spark for a while, but it will return when I slow down with all my other projects!
O Autumn Jade, why…why…did you have to mention cicadas? I was enjoying it until then. If there is a Purgatory, the edge of the journey to Hell from it would be lined with cicadas. That I am sure of.
Happy to ruin it for you. There must be a touch of distress and discomfort, even in paradise, for me 😉 Ah, Purgatory…sometimes the most beautiful scenes seem to be a kind of Purgatory in disguise.
Thanks for drizzling by, dear friend, and sharing a shiver of disgust with me. All the best,
Autumn Jade
