Little Forest Fingers

Burring through scaly leaves

Along the deer-stamped path

A Brittle Wind begins

The Lichen-Bearded ManAs cobalt moonbeams

Paw through knots

Of cowering trees

The Anguish of a Dangling LeafThe wind wends

Through strange limbs

And mutilated hands-

To Fondle the Woods

Whimpering

Spinal Tap the Woods

As it fondles the woods
