Listen for the gale

Ears filling with feral winds

Menacing welkin

An Illusory Beauty

Like the Oleander Moth

Quickly melts away

Wisp of Dangling Bird

Storm Winds blur these thoughts-

(Like a wisp of dangling bird)

Scraping scream, white eyes,

Talons in grey light,

Anguish seeping into earth,

Breathless, hidden in the grain.

A tuft of pale down

Is all that remains-

Easy in the breeze

As the Gale dissipates.

In the withered grey,

Jets howling, cars grinding by,

Just beyond these trees.

Dragonfly dips low

In a fog of mosquitoes-

Sluicing Rains alight.

Bright orbs of silver

Shine as sunset dissolves cloud-

Prickly Pear donning diamonds,

Lambent in gloaming.
