Jets howling, cars grinding by,
Just beyond these trees.
Dragonfly dips low
In a fog of mosquitoes-
Sluicing Rains alight.
Bright orbs of silver
Shine as sunset dissolves cloud-
Prickly Pear donning diamonds,
Lambent in gloaming.
