The Moon's AfootGasping moonlight signals through a cloudy ocean beard.

The Skin of NightStill bodies of flies and dragonflies glint, clinging to the cool, glass skin of dimming florescent lights.

The Stalker's EyeBeneath an orange orb of sodium vapour the glinting lawn looks like a nest of razorblades.

NestCrickets loom slick and black with the dank breath of December fog nestled on their backs. The Skin of Fog They sound like coughing hinges, tonight.

lizard

There, a glint

Through spired shade

Emerging

A winsome eye

Bright and unafraid

Between ridges

Of vicious spines

In a slim curtain

Of lemon light

Sunset festering

Exhausted day

Beginning to fade

In his aurulent

Lizard gaze

(A new and rather disturbing venture- a wee “poetry video,” oh dear…)

This is not the City
I hear no violin’s
Cry of empathy
Wafting up to
My lofty pane

This is a brushed
Little town
An ait between
Languid lagoon
And sun-washed sea

And somehow
A kind of
Penitentiary

As dog-days
Tame the waves
And my only Love
Becomes the
Monsoon Rains

That sweep
And brood
And pound
Into the deep blue
Of hissing Afternoon
And make
Lustrous Grey
This summery
Hide-away

Craggy Gutter

Downtrodden Dull dysthymia
Lurches in dawn
Hearing wind chimes
And conscience gone

Pneuma, a ragged reflection,
Stolid, bold as the barren kern
That stumbles into scathing sea
These eyes of limestone, wrathful burn

It is captured, then bleeds detached-
Down-trodden, the Lone Leaf that flits
In the cool wind’s mist, a grey wheeze
Vomits barnacles, writhes and spits

Doleful lil' yellow leaf

Reticent It swims in pools of rain
Gathered in the craggy gutter
Lil’ yellow leaf swirling alone
Decays there with doleful flutter

Such is a Soul
Dead cries implore
Mute, say one thing
And nothing more

Bleary Days

Guttural beach-break

Sharks breaching the minty waves

Skimmers sweeping swash

Littoral loafing

Cormorant airing her wings

Sodden charcoal-black

Dune scarp tunnel-pocked

Ghost crab rushes to the brine

Sudsy spume hissing

Sanderlings hurry

As a rogue wave swamps the cusp

Children disappear

Fish tale washes in

Air redolent of sunscreen

Wax melting in sun
