Of Arduous Grey,
These
Bleary mornings-
Creature caged
Beast
With gentle eyes-
This is Love
Childlike
Within the Heathen
Hugging rabbits
Sautéing onions
And black beans
Then
Weeping
In the garden
Alive
With the brilliance
Of Rain
Plumes of acrid smoke
Swirling in Dawn
This Life-
One long, laborious
Over-dose
A Day in the Brine

As I’m not even a novice at this poetry business, I’ll refrain from saying anything about your pieces, other than that they strike me as insightful and very beautiful.
Your photography is right up my alley. The choice of tonality and critical focus resonate with what I’m striving to achieve with my own efforts. There’s a sound message in all of them and the composition seems solid.
I look forward to more of your work, because I can draw a good deal of inspiration from it.
